Oates For Caps!

The latest hockey news in the Nation’s Capital has hit the ground running! According to my pals over at Russian Machine Never Breaks, the Capitals organization has named another former player to be coach of D.C.’s squad. For the Caps’ second consecutive coach choice, they are going with a former player from the Capitals. This time, they’ve named the honors to Adam Oates.

Unlike their last coach Dale Hunter, who I had only heard of, Adam Oates is actually one of the first hockey players I can remember seeing at a live game. I don’t remember when the first hockey game I attended was, but it must have been sometime between 1996 and 2002, when Oates played for the team. (I’m guessing it was sometime in the 00’s.) Hopefully this former player can bring more to the team than the last attempt. Welcome back to Washington, Mr. Oates! Glad to have you back!

I support anyone who’s sported a curly ‘fro!
